Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, CA is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to manage a mixed Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment on a 24x7 operations model.

You will collaborate with cybersecurity teams, deploy and support ESXi/vCenter, AD, DNS, DHCP, and server replication, and ensure security requirements are met. The role requires DoD clearance and onsite work.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHatEnterpriseLinux environment.
• Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of basic to moderate scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems.
• Execute actions as directed by senior staff and project management.
• Engage in cross-team collaboration and align with expectations of leadership team.
• Manage ESXi, VCenter and Microsoft windows domains
• Experience with Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Experience with hardware RAID, hardware and software encryption and server management tools.
• Perform data backup and restore, using industry best practice.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
• Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
• Travelrequiredas businessneedsdictate to other US Domestic locations, up to 10% per year.
• Full time 100% Onsite position.

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
