Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, seeks a System Administrator for Information Workplace Services in a 100% on-site role in the United States. You will provide system administration across Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, collaborate with cybersecurity teams, and support classified programs while following established procedures.

Ideal candidates have a university degree or limited relevant experience, the ability to obtain interim DoD clearance, and certification

• Must have working experience deploying and configuring and maintaining operating systems and clients.

• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.
• Follow documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
• Travel to other US Domestic locations may be required as business needs dictate. Up to 10% per year.
• This position is 100% on-site.

System Administrator in Information Workplace Services will collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
