Job summary

SelectOne is partnering with a Buffalo, NY area automotive organization to recruit a Systems Administrator. The role provides hands-on systems administration, escalation support for Tier 1, and ongoing IT improvements.

The successful candidate will manage Microsoft 365, Windows environments, Active Directory/Entra ID, and VMware infrastructure while helping ensure secure, well-maintained endpoints and server infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration or a related technical role.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows environments and Active Directory/Entra ID.
• Working knowledge of networking, endpoint management and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows Server and virtualization technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an escalation point for Tier 1 support, resolving complex hardware, software and account issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows endpoints, Microsoft 365 applications and network connectivity issues.
• Administer user accounts, groups and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Deploy and maintain endpoint policies, patches and security tools using RMM/MDM platforms.
• Support and troubleshoot Windows Server and VMware infrastructure.
• Identify recurring technical issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Assist with IT infrastructure maintenance, upgrades and system improvements.

About the Role: The Systems Administrator will provide advanced technical support and hands-on systems administration across the organization.
