Job summary

Novum Energy is seeking an experienced systems administrator to maintain Windows Server infrastructure, AD, and Group Policy. The role supports Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID environments, while monitoring endpoints with EDR tooling and reviewing security logs.

  • 5+ years of experience in a systems administration or similar IT role.
  • Solid hands-on experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra ID environments.
  • Familiarity with endpoint security tooling and basic log analysis.
  • PowerShell scripting for administration and automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve end-user problems in a timely manner.
  • Manage user onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning and device setup.
  • Work alongside external security vendors and managed service providers as needed.
  • Help document systems, processes, and configurations.

Job Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a systems administration or similar IT role.
  • Solid hands‑on experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory.
  • Comfortable working in Microsoft 365 and Azure / Entra ID environments.
  • Familiarity with endpoint security tooling and basic log analysis.
  • PowerShell scripting for administration and automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable moving between server‑level work and end‑user support.
  • Experience with RMM tools (Kaseya VSA or similar).
  • Familiarity with Meraki networking.
  • Exposure to SIEM or log aggregation tools.
  • Experience working with a managed SOC.
  • Security certifications (CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-200, or similar).
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism, consistently meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment while demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to demonstrate problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours when needed; this includes after business hours, weekends, and holidays.
