Visionist Inc. is seeking a System Administrator on a fully funded opportunity on our largest PRIME contract. The role demands extensive Linux expertise, VMware virtualization, and strong collaboration with distributed teams to support mission critical IT operations.

Ideal candidates have 9+ years in system administration, excellent communication, and the ability to document procedures and standards. Eligible US citizens with security clearance are prioritized for this exciting program.

Your contributions are…

• Install, configure, and maintain high-performance computing hardware in an operational datacenter environment
• Support installation, configuration, and sustainment of new and legacy hardware infrastructure
• Utilize Ansible for configuration management and automation to improve system consistency and efficiency
• Develop and maintain deployment playbooks, technical procedures, configuration documentation, and lessons learned to support repeatable, scalable processes
• Identify gaps in onsite support coverage and recommend improvements to minimize downtime and streamline user workflows
• Create and maintain technical diagrams, standard operating procedures, and system documentation to support seamless knowledge transfer
• Support virtualization initiatives and contribute to IT modernization strategies
• Perform Linux administration, networking, patch management, user management, and STIG mitigation to maintain secure, reliable systems
• Collaborate directly with customers and distributed engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and adapt to evolving mission requirements

Requirements for your new career…

• 9 years of experience in System Administration
• Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Linux systems
• Knowledge of networking principles and infrastructure support
• Experience with VMware and virtualization technologies
• Experience developing and maintaining clear, detailed technical documentation and operational procedures
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with customers
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with distributed support teams

Salary range:

$143,000 - $242,000
