Job summary

North Point Technology is seeking a Senior System Administrator to support a mission-critical RF and optical program. The role blends enterprise Linux/Windows administration with full-cycle network engineering, automation, and DoD security compliance for high-performance systems.

Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph required; DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification expected. Hands-on with Ansible, Arista EOS, and RBAC across servers and devices.

Qualifications

• Installation, configuration, and administration of Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu/Debian).
• Windows Server administration, AD and user/group management.
• Storage provisioning and management (LVM, RAID, SMB/NFS).
• System hardening and vulnerability remediation per DoD/STIG and CIS.
• Automation development with Ansible for Linux/Windows workloads.
• Scripting in Bash, PowerShell, and Python for automation.
• Use of Ansible Tower/AWX for job scheduling and audit trails.
• Version control workflows with Git for IaC.
• Enterprise L2/L3 network design and troubleshooting (VLANs, BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, QoS).
• Arista EOS configuration and CloudVision integration.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows Server instances.
• Manage AD, users, groups, and local security principals.
• Provision and manage storage (LVM/RAID/SMB/NFS) and perform hardening.
• Develop Ansible playbooks/roles for Linux and Windows automation.
• Write Bash, PowerShell, and Python scripts; operate Ansible Tower/AWX.
• Network design, implementation, and troubleshooting (L2/L3).
• Configure Arista EOS and automate via eAPI and Ansible modules.
• Enforce DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 standards; manage secrets/certificates.
• Provide Tier 3 support; maintain runbooks and SOPs in Confluence/SharePoint.
• Maintain RBAC across servers and network devices; document designs.
