AbbVie Inc. is seeking a motivated summer intern in synthetic organic chemistry to develop next-generation chemical processes for late-stage and commercial small-molecule assets.

You will plan, execute, and analyze experiments spanning microgram to decagram scales using modern screening and analysis platforms. Key responsibilities include high-throughput experimentation, data collection, mechanistic analysis, cross-functional collaboration with PDS&T and Process Chemistry, and reaction design

Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Synthetic Chemistry or related field.
• Must be enrolled for at least one semester after the internship.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Experience in discovery and optimization of chemical reactions.
• Experience with NMR and HPLC techniques.

Aufgaben

• Conduct high-throughput experimentation and reaction screening.
• Collect and analyze data from experiments.
• Perform mechanistic analysis of organic reactions.
• Collaborate with PDS&T and Development Sciences teams.
• Design reactions, plan experiments, and scale up processes.
