AbbVie Product Development Science & Technology seeks a Senior Scientist to advance late-stage chemical process development from clinical to commercialization. The role focuses on developing organic chemistry processes and scaling them to support potential therapies, working with organic and analytical chemists, engineers, and solid-state scientists.

The position requires strong expertise in synthetic chemistry and a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach while complying with GxP standards

Formación

• Broad expertise in modern synthetic organic chemistry, purification, and spectral analysis/interpretation.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher; PhD preferred for advanced roles.

• Adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, materials handling, and GxP compliance.
• Serve as subject matter expert to other functions within the project team.

AbbVie Product Development Science & Technology is seeking a Senior Scientist (Process Chemist) to conduct late-stage chemical process development, supporting projects from late clinical development through commercialization and throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated scientist, with a proven track record of accomplishment in the field of organic synthesis, to work in a multi-functional team environment.

The candidate will be responsible for developing organic chemistry processes and executing on scale to provide practical access to potential therapies, which may include small molecules, peptides and/or antibody drug conjugates (ADCs).

The position involves multi-disciplinary interactions with organic chemists, analytical chemists, engineers, and solid-state scientists.

• Effectively collaborate with cross-functional team members to drive pipeline and commercial programs.
• Author publications, presentations, regulatory documents, and/or patents.
• Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of relevant technologies.
• Maintain a high level of productivity in the lab, pilot plant, and/or manufacturing support space.
• Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drug and radioactive compounds, and GxP compliance.
• Be a subject matter expert to other functions within the project team.
