Gestalt Community Schools seeks a Middle School English Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year to design weekly lesson plans, develop assessments, analyze data, and create intervention plans to meet scholars' needs while integrating technology and project-based learning.

The candidate must hold a TN teaching license in English and/or a middle school endorsement, have a bachelor’s degree or higher aligned to the subject, and demonstrate a track record of academic success with strong communication

Responsabilités

• Create weekly lesson plans and standards-based assessments.

• Meet with parents regarding student performance and conduct.
• Collaborate with special educators in co-teaching for IEP/504 students.
• Plan with school and network teams; participate in weekly PD.
• Create and review student assessments.

Description

Gestalt Community Schools has an immediate opening for a Middle School English Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027school year! Gestalt Community School teachers design weekly lessons plans, develop standards-based assessments, analyze assessment data, and create intervention plans to meet our scholars' needs. In addition, GCS teachers integrate technology effectively in the classrooms, and implement project-based learning.

Responsibilities

• Creating lesson plans Teaching scholars a common core based curriculum
• Integrating technology into lessons and plans
• Motivating scholars towards achievement
• Meeting with parents regarding performance and conduct
• Developing scholar improvement plans
• Working with special educators in a co-teaching model for students with IEP and 504 plans
• Work planning with school and network teams
• Attending weekly required professional development training
• Create and review student assessments
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Hold a current TN teaching license in English and/or have a middle school endorsement
• Have a bacherlor's degree or higher aligned to subject area certification
• Has a proven track record of academic success as evident in TVAAS, state assessments, NWEA and value ad data (preferred)
• Hold the belief that all students can learn at high academic levels
• Uses digital content, technology integration, and project-based learning in a highly efficient manner
• Have the ability to work in an extended day environment
• Has the ability to teach in an inclusion environment with a co-teacher (if applicable)
• Working knowledge of or ability to learn both the Mac and PC platform
• Offers proven track record in the implementation of blended learning (preferred)
• Excellent communication and written skills
• Team Player who is engaged and is confident in their ability to contribute to a dynamic academic team
