Job summary

Eaton’s Commercial Products and Assemblies group in the United States is seeking a Product Line Manager for Switching Devices (Safety Switch) based in Cleveland, TN or Charlotte, NC. You will plan, manage, and oversee long-term strategies and business plans for a $300M product line with multiple facilities.

The role requires engineering/marketing background, 5+ years leadership, and experience with power distribution channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing from an accredited institution.
• Extensive product and application knowledge in Power Distribution.
• Experience coordinating R&D-related processes.
• Strong collaboration with executives to develop go-to-market strategies.
• 5+ years of team leadership in power distribution business.
• 5+ years experience in product marketing and/or outside sales; including channel networks.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on engineering technologies, market conditions, and channels to develop long-term product design and marketing strategies.
• Direct and oversee new product development and market introduction aligned with manufacturing processes.
• Define, implement, and manage product marketing and strategic sales plans.
• Develop and coordinate communications with customers on product characteristics, quality, delivery, and service.
• Establish and maintain customer service standards for negotiation lead times, lead times and claims.
• Prepare quotations, bids, and negotiation documentation for sales.
• Analyze pricing levels and adjust proposals in response to market changes.
• Negotiate final product prices with customer through field sales personnel.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure timely responses to customer installation and operational requirements.
• Plan and manage the R&D process for the product line within budgets.
