Job summary

RESA Power, LLC in Florida is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support design, development, and maintenance of electrical control systems under engineering leadership. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and quality while contributing to sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities include electrical design using AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks 3D, BOM preparation, documentation, and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D.
• Experience using SolidWorks 3D through coursework, internships, co-ops, or professional experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, electrical schematics, and one-line diagrams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical design projects using sound engineering principles and industry standards.
• Create and modify electrical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks 3D.
• Support development and maintenance of electrical one-line diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Assist in preparing BOMs for electrical projects and equipment assemblies.
• Review project specifications and customer requirements under guidance of senior staff.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to support project execution.
• Assist with design calculations and documentation required for electrical projects.
• Support drawing revisions and engineering change processes.
• Help ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain technical information, quotations, and lead times.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and control system drawings.
• Maintain accurate project files and engineering documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to support daily engineering activities.
• Provide technical support to internal departments as needed.
• Follow company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
• Support engineering projects as assigned by management.
