Reporting To

Production Supervisor

Role and Responsibilities
  1. Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions.
  2. Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
  3. Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
  4. Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
  5. Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed.
  6. Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
  7. Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
  8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge and use of tools such as tape measure, screwdriver, battery-powered tools, etc.
  • Understanding of hardware components like nuts, bolts, screws, etc.
  • Familiarity with 5S principles: sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain.
  • Knowledge of and proper use of PPE.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, connection diagrams, bill of materials, and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to operate cranes or other lifting devices as needed.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and safe ladder use.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Basic understanding of computer use for parts lookup and documentation.
  • Basic math and communication skills.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Must have work authorization to work in the US for ABB.
