Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Switchboard Operator to join our team!

This is a full-time, 40-hours, benefits-eligible position.

Starting pay is $18.25.

The Switchboard Operator is the initial contact for the facility or department and operates a telephone console or switchboard to route incoming calls to the appropriate party. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Operating a telephone console or switchboard to direct calls.
• Receiving and relaying messages.
• Operating a paging system as needed.
• Logging calls and performing follow-up.
• Providing information to callers and recording messages.
• Performing clerical duties as required.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction regarding service and problem resolution.
• Reporting accidents and injuries promptly, and identifying unsafe conditions.
• Following HIPAA rules to protect PHI.
• Adhering to safety policies and participating in safety training.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
