Job summary

Mace Machine LLC in Exeter, NH is seeking a dependable Citizen Swiss turning cell operator to fabricate precision parts for aerospace and defense. You will load bar stock, run Citizen Swiss lathe machines, follow documented programs, perform tool changes, and participate in first-piece and in-process inspections, recording data to ensure quality.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Citizen Swiss CNCs, familiarity with FANUC/Mitsubishi controls, the ability to read blueprints and GD&T,

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience running Swiss-type CNC machines or comparable CNC equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensions, tolerances, and basic GD&T.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, indicators, gage pins, optical inspection tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Consistency in following documented processes and maintaining accurate records.
• Prior aerospace/defense or AS9100 exposure is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Run Citizen Swiss-style CNC lathes (sliding headstock) to make precision parts.
• Load bar stock and keep bar feeders and machine operation running smoothly.
• Follow documented programs, setup sheets, job travelers, and work instructions.
• Perform routine tool swaps and replace worn or damaged inserts.
• Apply tool wear offsets and dimensional adjustments from inspection feedback.
• Verify dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and visual condition of parts.
• Record inspection data and complete all required production documentation.
• Assist with setups and changeovers in line with your experience level.
• Keep the cell clean, organized, and safe.
• Contribute ideas to improve quality, throughput, and process consistency.
