LCI-Lawinger Consulting in Osseo, MN is seeking a Swiss Machinist Lead for weekend nights to oversee setup and operation of Swiss CNC machines with up to nine axes. You will guide daily production, coach machinists, verify tolerances, and maintain records in a clean, air-conditioned shop.

The role requires 7+ years in CNC Swiss machining, strong setup skills, and the ability to mentor a team across Friday–Sunday shifts. Competitive hourly pay plus shift premium and quarterly bonus await.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of CNC Swiss machining experience; medical manufacturing is a plus.
• Independent setup skills on Swiss machines and controls.
• Strong coaching, clear communication across shifts.
• Blueprint reading, shop math, and precision measurement skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run Swiss CNC machines with up to nine axes, using G and M code and some macro programming knowledge.
• Guide daily production to meet quality, output, and scrap targets.
• Coach and train machinists and operators, reinforcing consistent practices across shifts.
• Verify tight tolerances using microscopes, precision measuring tools, vision systems, and CMMs.
• Use SPC data to guide offsets and tool changes, and maintain part quality.
• Keep production and training records accurate, communicate clear shift handoffs, and elevate concerns.
• Support attendance expectations, performance reviews, and hiring interviews.

$33–$47.90/hour base pay + shift premium + quarterly bonus opportunity with a 5% target
Friday–Sunday, 5:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m.

Bring your Swiss machining expertise to a hands-on leadership role making precision medical components. We’re looking for a lead who can own setups, keep production on track, and coach machinists to do their best work—all in a clean, air-conditioned shop.

Your role
