Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Swiss CNC Setup Machinist to set up and operate Swiss-type lathes (CITIZEN, STAR, TSUGAMI) on tight-tolerance parts. You will perform 1st part approvals and support training of other operators, ensuring quality and efficient cycle times.

The role requires reading drawings, setting offsets, tool wear monitoring, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. On-site in Bucks County area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Swiss-type CNC setup experience on CITIZEN, STAR or TSUGAMI.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and tight-tolerance prints.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Set up jobs on Swiss-type lathes and oversee first-piece approval.
• Work with programmers to ensure accuracy of setup instructions.
• Maintain cycle time, tool life and quality with appropriate edits.
• Document inspection data and maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Assist in training and overseeing multiple operators.
