Job summary

Htprof seeks a Swiss Machinist to set up and operate Swiss-type CNC lathes (CITIZEN, STAR, TSUGAMI) on high-precision parts, ensuring first-part approval before handing to operators. You will follow strict procedures and participate in training across the team to uphold quality standards.

You will inspect parts with micrometers, optimize cycle times, and communicate issues to management while maintaining a safe, organized work environment at our site in Warminster Township.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Swiss-type CNC setup experience (CITIZEN, STAR, TSUGAMI preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specs.
• Experience performing first piece inspection and hand-off to operators.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up jobs on Swiss-type lathes, including guide bushings and sub-spindle/tooling.
• Follow processes and work with programmers to ensure accuracy.
• Perform first piece approval and machine hand-off; supervise others as needed.
• Maintain cycle times, adjust speeds/feeds, and optimize tooling.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools to meet tight tolerances.
• Operate machines between setups and monitor stock, coolant, and wear.
• Document inspection results and maintain a clean, safe work area.
