Job summary

RTCA is seeking a CNC Swiss Operator to support setup, operation and programming of Swiss-type CNC lathes at our Fife, WA facility. The role requires attention to detail, ability to read drawings, and adherence to ISO 9001 procedures.

Experience in Swiss machining is preferred, with training available for entry-level candidates. This onsite position offers weekend shift differential, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced, quality-driven team.

Qualifications

• Machining/manufacturing experience in a technical field.
• Exposure to Swiss machining (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar).
• Basic understanding of machining principles and CNC operations.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or with a team.
• Familiarity with basic measuring tools or willingness to learn.
• Mechanical aptitude and good manual dexterity.
• Ability to inspect parts visually or with magnification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with or perform setup and programming on Swiss-type machines (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar).
• Monitor machines and adjust speeds, feeds, and tool positions to meet blueprint specs.
• Verify conformance of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators.
• Read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
• Utilize CAM software or learn it (Mastercam, PartMaker, Esprit).
• Maintain ISO 9001 traceability and documentation.
