Job summary

RTCA in Rockford, MI is seeking a Swiss Machinist (Setup/Programmer) to join our precision aerospace manufacturing team. You’ll support setup, operation and programming of Swiss-type CNC machines, working onsite at our Rockford facility and contributing to quality and production excellence.

Open to experienced machinists or developing talent with foundational knowledge and a strong willingness to learn. Familiarity with Citizen/Star/Tsugami and CAM software is a plus, as is a mindset for

Qualifications

Experience in machining, manufacturing, or a related technical field (entry-level to experienced candidates considered).
Exposure to Swiss machining (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar) is required.
Basic understanding of machining principles and CNC operations preferred.

Responsibilities

Work full-time onsite at Rockford, MI location.
Setup and program Swiss-type machines (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar).
Monitor speeds/feeds and tool positions to meet blueprint requirements.
Verify finished parts using standard measuring tools.
Work with small parts and tight tolerances (±0.0001 as applicable).
Support or develop CNC programs manually or with CAM software (Mastercam, PartMaker, Esprit).
Ensure traceability and ISO 9001 documentation.
Read and interpret manufacturing and engineering drawings.
Follow G and M code fundamentals; CAM experience is a plus.
Follow safety guidelines; perform other duties as assigned.
