Job summary

RTCA in Fife, WA is seeking a Swiss Machinist (Setup / Programmer) to support Swiss-type CNC machines. You’ll be part of a high‑performing team focused on quality and production excellence, with a weekend shift differential and onsite work at our WA facility.

Open to experienced machinists or developing talent with foundational machining knowledge and a strong willingness to learn, you’ll help drive precision manufacturing and traceability under ISO 9001 guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in machining or related technical field.
• Exposure to Swiss-type machines (Citizen/Star/Tsugami).
• Ability to read drawings and verify part conformance.
• Willingness to learn CAM software (Mastercam/PartMaker/Esprit).
• Basic measurement tools familiarity and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and program Swiss-type CNC machines.
• Assist with or perform machine setup and programming.
• Monitor speeds, feeds, and tool positions per blueprint.
• Verify finished workpieces with standard measuring tools.
• Interpret manufacturing drawings and CAM code fundamentals.
• Maintain ISO 9001 traceability and safety procedures.
