Job summary

RTCA is a precision aerospace and defense manufacturing group seeking a Swiss CNC Machinist (Setup / Programmer) for our Rockford, MI facility. This full-time, on-site role offers hands-on ownership and opportunities to contribute to high-quality components used in critical programs.

You will assist with setup, program Swiss-type machines, verify parts, and work with CAM tools such as Mastercam or Esprit, ensuring ISO 9001 traceability. Applicants from entry to experienced levels are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in machining or related technical field.
• Exposure to Swiss machining (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar) is required
• Ability to follow instructions, stay focused and work independently or as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Work full-time onsite in Rockford, MI location.
• Assist with or perform setup and programming on Swiss-type machines (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar)
• Monitor machines and adjust speeds/feeds to meet blueprint requirements
• Verify conformance of finished parts using standard measuring tools
• Work with small parts and tight tolerances (±0.0001 as applicable)
• Support or develop CNC programs manually or with CAM software (Mastercam, PartMaker, Esprit)
• Ensure traceability and ISO 9001 documentation
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures
