Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Swiss CNC Field Service Technician to support customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machine tools across Minnesota. The role emphasizes high professionalism and hands-on problem-solving in dynamic field settings.

You will travel up to 100% across the assigned territory, work with precise measuring tools, read schematics, and communicate clear equipment status and recommendations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing CNC machinery.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools such as dial indicators and micrometers.
• Experience with rotating machinery, spindles, and precision bearings.
• Strong understanding of CNC controls and basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Valid driver's license and willing to travel up to 100%.

We are partnered with an incredible CNC Machine Tool Builder on their search for Swiss CNC Service Technicians! As a Swiss CNC Field Service Technician, you’ll play a critical role in supporting customers by maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools and ensuring equipment operates at peak performance.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites throughout MN and surrounding region to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools, controls, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Utilize manuals, technical documentation, and internal/vendor support to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Clearly communicate equipment status, repairs, and recommendations to customers.
• Accurately complete and submit service and installation reports.
• Ensure customer commitments are met with a high standard of professionalism and technical excellence.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers.
• Stay informed on new technologies and product updates through ongoing training and technical seminars.
• Maintain deep technical knowledge of all equipment lines represented by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned
