Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to manage turnkey CNC projects, deliver on-site demonstrations, and train customers in safe operation of machining centers and lathes. You will assess opportunities, prepare proposals, and travel to customer sites for engineering support and training.

Strong background in Swiss-type/CNC machinery, plus CAD/CAM familiarity, is preferred. Domestic travel and field responsibilities are expected as part of this role.

Qualifications

Swiss CNC machine tool engineering experience.
In-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and products.
Fanuc controls knowledge; 5-axis experience is a plus.
CAD/CAM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Run turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer projects to ensure on-time and within-budget completion.
Conduct pre-sale activities including customer visits, opportunity evaluation, and turnkey proposals.
Develop and implement custom demonstrations and train customers in safe setup and operation of CNC machines.
Train customers in safe setup and operation of CNC machining centers and multi-tasking machines.
Prepare cost estimates, write engineering reports, and interpret plans and specifications.
Travel to customer sites for on-site training and engineering assistance.
