Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group seeks an experienced engineer to lead turnkey CNC projects and provide on-site training and support for customers in the Minneapolis area.

You will develop demonstrations, assess opportunities, prepare proposals, and train customers on safe operation of CNC centers and related equipment, including lathes, grinders, and Swiss lathes. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Swiss CNC machine tool engineering and manufacturing experience.
• In-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines.
• Knowledge of Fanuc-based controls; 5-axis experience is a plus.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software preferred.
• Able to think quickly, assess situations, and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Run turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer-related projects to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
• Conduct pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, opportunity evaluation, machine assessment, and turnkey proposal development.
• Develop and implement custom demonstrations and training for customers in the setup and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss lathes and/or multi-tasking machines.
• Train customers in the safe setup and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss lathes and/or multi-tasking machines.
• Make accurate cost estimates, write engineering reports, and interpret plans and specifications.
• Travel to customers for on-site training and engineering assistance.

Job description

Duties:

• Running turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer related projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget


• Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposal


• Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/ or multi-tasking machines


• Conducts training of customers in the safe set-up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/or multi-tasking machines.


• Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications


• Travel to customers for on site training and engineering assistance.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool related engineering and manufacturing


• Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company


• Knowledge of Fanuc based controls, 5-axis experience is a plus


• Experience with CAD/CAM software, preferred but not required.


• Able to think quickly, assess a situation and make a sound decision.
