Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search seeks an applications engineer to lead turnkey CNC demonstrations, pre-sale activities, and technical training for customer projects in Hartford, CT.

The role requires expertise with Swiss CNC machines, Fanuc controls, 5-axis capabilities, and CAD/CAM software, with travel to client sites for on-site support and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Experience with sliding headstock Swiss CNC machines.
• In-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines.
• Knowledge of Fanuc based controls; 5-axis experience is a plus.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software preferred but not required.
• Ability to think quickly, assess a situation and make a sound decision.

Responsibilities

• Run turnkey projects and demonstrations to ensure timely, on-budget completion.
• Lead pre-sale activities including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and turnkey proposals.
• Develop/custom demonstrations and train customers in the safe setup and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/or multi-tasking machines.
• Conducts training of customers in the safe set-up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/or multi-tasking machines.
• Make accurate cost estimates, write engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Travel to customers for on-site training and engineering assistance.

Job description

• Running turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer related projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget
• Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposal
• Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/ or multi-tasking machines
• Conducts training of customers in the safe set-up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/or multi-tasking machines.
• Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications
• Travel to customers for on site training and engineering assistance.

Qualifications:

• Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company
• Knowledge of Fanuc based controls, 5-axis experience is a plus
