Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an experienced field engineer to manage turnkey CNC projects and deliver on-site training and demonstrations. You will assess customer needs, prepare turnkey proposals, and ensure safe operation of CNC machining centers including Swiss-type lathes and multitasking machines.

Applicants should have strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, CAD/CAM software, and Swiss CNC equipment. Occasional travel for customer sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool engineering and manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and company product lines.
• Knowledge of Fanuc based controls; 5-axis experience is a plus.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead turnkey projects and demonstrations for customers to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Conduct pre-sale activities including customer visits, opportunity evaluation, and turnkey proposals.
• Develop and implement custom demonstrations; train customers on safe setup and operation of CNC machines.
• Travel to customers for on-site training and engineering support.

Job description

• Running turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer related projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget
• Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposal
• Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/ or multi-tasking machines
• Conducts training of customers in the safe set-up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/or multi-tasking machines.
• Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications
• Travel to customers for on site training and engineering assistance.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool related engineering and manufacturing
• Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company
• Knowledge of Fanuc based controls, 5-axis experience is a plus
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, preferred but not required.
• Able to think quickly, assess a situation and make a sound decision.
