Job summary

Software Placement Group, SPG seeks a Swiss CNC Applications Engineer in Fullerton, CA to support turnkey projects, pre-sale evaluations, and hands-on training for advanced CNC machines.

You will run demonstrations, assess customer needs, develop turnkey proposals, and train customers on Swiss-style and multi-tasking CNC machining centers, including lathes and grinders. Occasional travel for on-site training is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool related engineering and manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and relevant product lines.
• Knowledge of Fanuc based controls.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and conversational programming.
• Ability to think quickly, assess situations, and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Run turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer-related projects to ensure completion on time and within budget.
• Conduct pre-sale activities including customer visits, opportunity evaluation, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations, and development of turnkey proposals.
• Develop and implement custom demonstrations and train customers in the safe setup and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes, and/or multi-tasking machines.
• Conduct training of customers in the safe setup and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes, and/or multi-tasking machines.
• Make accurate cost estimates, write engineering reports, and interpret plans and specifications.
• Travel to customer sites for on-site training and engineering assistance.

An established machine tool manufacturer is seeking a Swiss CNC Applications Engineer to support customers through turnkey project delivery, pre-sale evaluations, and hands-on training on advanced CNC machining equipment. This role is critical to ensuring customers can safely and efficiently operate complex Swiss-style and multi-tasking machines.
