Job summary

nwch is seeking a Behavior Technician in Lewiston, Idaho. This role focuses on supporting clients while maintaining the structure of their program, which addresses psychiatric needs using a trauma-informed approach.

The candidate must be at least 19 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Responsibilities include ensuring safety and effective team communication. A bachelor’s degree in social services is preferred, with related experience valued.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • One year of experience working directly with children or substitute with social services education.
  • Valid state issued driver's license.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to pass required Background Checks.

  • Ensure effective communication between the team and complete documentation timely.

Job description

Schedule
  • Swing Shift: 1PM - 11PM, Sunday - Tuesday plus alternating Wednesdays
Responsibilities

The Behavior Technician is responsible for supporting the clients and the structure of the program. This program will focus on identifying and stabilizing the client’s psychiatric needs with an evidence based and trauma informed approach.

This position is to maintain continuity in the daily schedule and assure safety of clients at all times. It is the expectation that communication between the team is effective and efficient and all required documentation is completed accurately and within a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have one year of experience working directly with children.
  • Two years of social services education may be substituted for the required experience.
  • A valid state issued driver’s license.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide verification.
  • Able to pass required Background Checks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Social Services related field.
  • Paid experience working with children and/or youth in a group treatment setting.
