Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Site Manager for an on-site pig production facility in a rural Kansas setting. You will lead and train staff, enforcing production protocols and safety standards while managing inventories and financial reporting to meet budgets.

You will coordinate with HR on recruiting and onboarding, supervise health and welfare audits, and ensure bio-security and animal welfare guidelines are followed. A strong background in livestock management and supervisory roles is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer 2 years post high school education with agricultural major.
• Prefer 4+ years livestock experience and 2 years supervisory experience.
• Prefer 1 year swine experience and 1 year supervisory experience with 2 years post-high school agricultural education.

Responsibilities

• Manage and train employees to follow all production protocols and procedures.
• Policing routines to monitor protocols, production and efficiencies.
• Ensure inventory management of swine, semen ordering and supplies.
• Monitor feed inventory and place orders when necessary.
• Set goals with employees and monitor progress to maximize production.
• Analyze financial reporting and adjust to meet budget targets.
• Train assistant managers and employees in financial aspects and impact on finances.
• Prepare and present reports through website, fax or email.
• Recruiting, interviewing and retaining farm employees with HR involvement.
• Maintain safety, bio-security, and animal welfare across operations.
