You will provide feed and water, assist with heat checks and piglet care, support farrowing, sanitation, and maintain accurate records while upholding biosecurity and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable with a strong work ethic and prepared to perform daily tasks with precision.
• Physically able to handle the demands of barn work while maintaining high animal care standards.
• Ability to follow established SOPs across feeding, breeding, and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide feed and water to animals daily.
• Heat check/breed sows in heat and perform gilt heat induction per protocols.
• Process piglets with castration, tail docking, and iron/antibiotics.
• Assist with farrowing, litter care, and ensuring piglet warmth.
• Monitor health of sows and litters; administer treatments as needed.
• Maintain sanitation and records while following biosecurity and safety protocols.
