Job summary

British Swim School of Cleveland East Side is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor. The position focuses on teaching swim lessons while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of students and their families. The Swim Instructor is accountable for following the curriculum and maintaining positive relationships with families.

The ideal candidate should be at least 16 years old, possess strong communication skills, and be comfortable in water. Opportunities for growth and paid training are provided, as well as competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow British Swim Schools curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

The Position

The Swim Instructor's number one priority is on teaching the aquatics program at British Swim School, talking to the students and families about the program, demonstrating skills, communicating, and holding yourself accountable.

Your Typical Responsibilities

• Follow British Swim Schools curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons.
• Establish and maintain relationships with students’ parents and/or guardians, and the team.
• Teach British Swim School lessons with encouragement and positive reinforcement.

Minimum Qualifications

• 16 or older.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable in and around the water.
• Willing to undergo a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in teaching children or adults.
• Swim Experience.
• Have or willing to obtain Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, AED Certification(s).
• Graduated high school or at least on track to.
