Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Dayton is seeking a Swim Team Strength & Conditioning Coach at The Heights in Huber Heights, OH. This part-time, non-exempt role focuses on developing dryland programs for swim team practice groups in line with YMCA guidelines and safety standards.

You will work with senior coaches, provide constructive feedback, keep accurate swimmer records, and promote a positive, motivating training environment for all ages and ability levels, while upholding YMCA values.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid certification required.
• Lifeguard certification recommended but not required.
• Knowledge of competitive swimming strokes, starts, turns and related skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares personalized dryland programs per YMCA guidelines.
• Provides positive and regular feedback to participants.
• Directs participants to other YMCA classes and activities.
• Maintains a clean, safe and sanitary environment.
• Keeps accurate swimmer records and evaluates progress.
• Coaches participants in a demonstrative and professional manner.
