Job summary

The YMCA of Central Ohio is seeking a part-time Swim Team Coach to lead the youth swim program at our Grove City facility. You will assess swimmers, plan practices, and assign events, guiding athletes toward personal bests.

As a role model, you will promote safety, fair play, and teamwork, while maintaining YMCA standards and coordinating with the aquatics director. CPR/First Aid and other certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma.
• Experience in swim team and coaching and knowledge of skill and stroke development.
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and oxygen certification.

Responsibilities

• Leads the swim team as a YMCA program, promoting participation and sportsmanship.
• Assesses swimmers, provides instruction, and assigns competitive events.
• Develops practice regimens and coordinates with the aquatics director for meets.
• Maintains records, communicates schedules to swimmers and parents, and ensures safety.
