Job summary

Goldfish Swim School - Fox Chapel is seeking year-round swim lesson instructors. You will teach water safety and core techniques from our curriculum, provide feedback to parents after each 30-minute lesson, and help create a positive, safe learning environment.

This role offers paid training, a flexible part-time schedule (afternoons and weekends), advancement opportunities into Golden Teachers and Deck Supervisors, and perks like free swim lessons for children and family discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to swim and pass a basic 50-yard swim test.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum and educate students on water safety.
• Evaluate students’ progress and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Interact with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills.
• Use problem-solving and creative thinking to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter.
• Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment; place and remove lane lines and class materials before/after lessons.
• Perform lifeguard functions and/or light cleaning duties as needed.
• Attend occasional mandatory workshops and in-service training outside regular hours.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by your employer.
