Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is seeking enthusiastic swim instructors to teach the Goldfish curriculum and promote water safety. You will work with children, lead lessons, and be a positive ambassador for the school.

Requirements include Lifeguard/CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, with training provided if needed. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and prior lifeguard or youth programs experience is desirable. Flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience as a certified lifeguard or instructor preferred.
• Two or more years as a swimming instructor preferred.
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification required; internal certification available if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Enforces safety rules and performs rescues and first aid when necessary.
• Evaluates students’ progress and completes required paperwork promptly.
• Interacts with parents/guardians about student progress.
• Acts as a GSS ambassador to ensure parental satisfaction.
• Uses problem solving to identify and resolve challenges for students.
• Inspects pool areas before/after class and reports issues to management.
• Maintains storage of pool equipment and handles lane lines.
• Reports accidents and incidents to management and completes documentation.
• Performs Deck Teacher duties as needed and light cleaning tasks as required.
• Attends mandatory workshops and in-service training outside regular hours.
• Fulfills other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
