Job summary

Emler Swim School in Westfield, IN is seeking a motivated Swim Instructor to teach kids from 6 months to 12 years. You will partner with a mentor to learn our proven methods, lead enjoyable lessons, and build trusted relationships with families while prioritizing safety in and around the pool.

The role supports evenings and weekend shifts, with paid training and opportunities for growth as you gain experience and certifications. Join a team that values fun, learning, and community impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of formal workplace experience with children, including infants, in a customer-facing role.
• At least 1–2 years of experience leading or training others in a structured team setting.
• Must love working with infants and kids and bringing positive energy.
• Reliable, safety-minded, and professional with great communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends on a set schedule.
• Comfortable in the water and active on your feet.
• Previous teaching or swim experience is a plus, but not required – paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Training with an experienced mentor to learn our proven swim instruction methods.
• Teaching weekly lessons and cheering on student milestones.
• Creating positive, trusting relationships with students and parents.
• Keeping safety a top priority for everyone in and around the pool.
• Getting your steps in – this is an active, on-your-feet (and in-the-pool) role.
• Teaching classes for kids from 6 months to 12 years – each age group brings new energy.
