We offer part-time hours, a set weekly schedule, and a growth track to develop your leadership skills. You can grow with Goldfish even if this is your after-school or second job.

We’re looking for someone who fits our core values—you don’t have to have experience as a swim instructor or lifeguard (but you do need to know how to swim). Most importantly, you need a passion for helping others, customer service, and a fin-tastic personality.

What will you be doing?

• Preparing class materials and reviewing lesson themes to set up for success
• Teaching 4 swimmers per class using a well-established curriculum of water safety, swim, and swimplay skills (6 swimmers in infant, parent-and-me lessons). Each lesson lasts 30 minutes, followed consecutively over a 4-hour shift.
• Communicating progress and celebrating accomplishments with parents and caregivers
• Supervising lessons as needed and lifeguarding when required

You’ll guide new swimmers through their first days and support their progression from mini and junior swimmers to gliders and pros!

What will be expected of you?

• Availability for set lesson times: 4:00-8:00 pm weekdays, 8:30 am-3:00 pm weekends
• Arriving 15 minutes early for setup and pre-shift meetings
• Working the same scheduled days weekly
• Patience, genuineness, and the ability to adapt to each swimmer’s pace
• Customer service skills to assist children and communicate with parents
• High-quality work that aligns with Goldfish’s mission to change lives
• Integrity, compassion, and trust in your decisions
