About Goldfish Swim School

We offer part-time hours, a set weekly schedule, and a growth track to build your leadership skills. You can grow with Goldfish even if this is your after-school or second job.

We’re looking for someone who fits our core values - you don’t have to have experience as a swim instructor or lifeguard (but you do need to know how to swim). Responsibilities

• Preparing class materials and reviewing lesson themes to ensure success at every lesson
• Teaching 4 swimmers per class using a well-established curriculum of water safety, swim, and swimplay skills (6 swimmers in infant, parent-and-me lessons). Each lesson lasts 30 minutes, followed consecutively for a 4-hour shift.
• Communicating progress and celebrating accomplishments with parents and caregivers
• Lifeguarding and supervising lessons as needed

You’ll guide new swimmers through their first days at Goldfish and support their progression from mini and junior swimmers to gliders and pros!

Expectations

• Availability for set lesson times (no half-shifts or mid-shifts):
  • 4:00-8:00 PM Monday-Friday
  • 8:30 AM-3:00 PM Saturday and Sunday
• Arrive 15 minutes early for setup and pre-shift meetings
• Work the same scheduled days weekly
• Patience and genuineness to help each swimmer learn at their own pace
• Customer service skills to assist children's development and communicate with parents
• Commitment to quality work and representing Goldfish’s mission with integrity and compassion
