Job summary

British Swim School of Northern Chicagoland seeks a part-time Swim Instructor to teach children and adults, starting at 3 months old, using our safe, progressive methods. You will receive extensive training and work from two pool locations in Chicago and Rosemont, helping reduce drowning risk and empower families.

Shifts include 4pm-8pm Mon-Thu and Saturdays 8am-noon, with 8-12 hours weekly. Must hold active Lifeguard Certification, high school diploma, and enjoy working with kids.

Qualifications

• Must have active Lifeguard Certification.
• Available at least 3 evenings from Monday through Thursday (4pm - 8pm) and Saturdays from 8am to noon.
• Completion of required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children and adults, starting at 3 months old, using progressive methods.
• Interact with students and families as a Deck Ambassador and Lifeguard to ensure smooth operations and safety.
• Learn and follow curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons and environment.
• Be prepared for shifts and support the team through regular engagement with team communications.
