City of Ann Arbor is seeking a swim instructor to teach swimming and water safety per city standards. The role includes supervising structured class activities for small groups or private lessons and may involve leading a pool and assisting with program registration, assessments, and evaluation.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of swim instruction, holds WSI and Lifeguard certs, and will receive Lifeguard certification reimbursement after 200 hours.
Starting Hourly Rate: $19.15
Instructs swimming and water safety skills for children and adults according to City of Ann Arbor standards. Responsible for the supervision of structured class activities for a small group of students or for individual private lessons. Will routinely act as a lead instructor for a particular pool and may assist with the organization and implementation of instructional swim programs at multiple pools, including program registration procedures, student skill assessment, training and supervision of other swim instructors, and program evaluation.
Employees will have an opportunity for Lifeguard certification reimbursement up to $200 upon working a minimum of 200 hours.

Experience in the administration and organization of instructional swim programs.
Physical Requirements
May exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
