Job summary

YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is seeking a part-time swim instructor for the Jorgensen Family YMCA in Fort Wayne, IN to create a safe, encouraging pool environment and to conduct swimming lessons per YMCA guidelines.

Ideal candidates are at least 16 years old, able to demonstrate YMCA-standard instructor skills, and either certified by a YMCA or willing to obtain certification. Flexible weekend hours and community involvement are available.

Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years old.
• Must demonstrate swim instructor skills per YMCA standards.
• Certification from YMCA or accredited association preferred or willing to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Connect: build relationships with members, swim participants, and parents.
• Nurture: ensure a safe, positive environment for swim lesson participants.
• Inspire: encourage involvement of all swim participants.
