Job summary

The YMCA of the North Shore invites applications for Swim Instructors at the Beverly & Soul Center YMCA to teach lessons, promote water safety, and build confidence in participants.

Paid training, a free YMCA membership, and a supportive, mission-driven team await. Part-time schedules with flexibility after school or with other commitments. Must be at least 16 years old and willing to obtain required certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Current Lifeguarding/Swim Instructor certifications preferred or willing to obtain.
• Paid training and professional development provided.

Are you comfortable in the water and passionate about helping others learn? The Beverly & Soul Center YMCA is looking for enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join our Aquatics Team this fall!

Whether you're an experienced swim instructor or looking to start a rewarding new role, this is an opportunity to help children and adults gain confidence, develop lifelong swimming skills, and learn the importance of water safety—all while working in a fun, supportive environment.

New to Teaching? We've Got You Covered!

No previous teaching experience? No problem!

We provide paid training for qualified candidates, including:

• Training on the YMCA of the USA Swim Curriculum
• Shadowing and mentoring with experienced instructors
• Ongoing coaching and professional development
• A supportive team invested in your success

What You'll Do

As a Swim Instructor, you will:

• Teach swim lessons to children and adults of all ages and abilities
• Lead engaging group and private lessons using the YMCA Swim Curriculum
• Promote water safety while helping participants build confidence and achieve their goals
• Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment
• Celebrate each swimmer's progress and make every lesson fun and meaningful

Current certifications in Lifeguarding/Swim Instruction, Pro CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen preferred – or willing to obtain
