Job summary

Penbayymca is seeking a passionate Swim Instructor to teach kids aged 3-12 to swim safely and confidently at the YMCA. The ideal candidate will create fun and engaging swimming lessons while ensuring a safe environment for all participants.

Qualifications include being at least 16 years old, a YMCA Swim Instructor certification, and a positive attitude towards teaching. The position offers flexible shifts and a chance to feel like a superhero every time a child conquers their water fears!

Qualifications

What You'll Do:

• Share your love of swimming with kiddos from tiny tots to pre-teens
• Create fun pool time that cleverly teaches important skills
• Play games that help swimmers feel confident in the water
• Give high-fives and encouragement when students master a new skill
• Chat with parents about their child's awesome progress
• Keep everyone safe while they're having a blast
• Be the instructor you wish you had when you learned to swim!

What You Need:

• Be at least 16 years old
• Know how to swim and be comfortable with different strokes
• Enjoy hanging out with kids and helping them succeed
• A positive attitude and patience when teaching
• Willingness to get wet and have fun!
• Previous teaching experience? Great if you have it, but no worries if you don't—we'll train you!

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• YMCA Swim Instructor certification, or equivalent.
• At least 16 years of age.
