Job summary

Main Street Swim School in Mission Valley, San Diego, is hiring a part-time Swim Instructor to teach safe, engaging swim lessons to children aged 4 months to 13 years. The role offers paid training, opportunities for lifeguard certification, and professional development.

Afternoons and weekends required; starting pay $18-$23 per hour with raise opportunities through training and additional pay for camps, guarding, and subbing.

Qualifications

• Stand, walk, stoop, crouch or swim for extended periods.
• Lift, hold or move equipment or children up to 50 pounds.
• Must be 15 years or older to all positions.
• Must be 18 years or older for Lead Instructor.
• Afternoons and weekends required.
• Enjoy working with children aged 4 months–13 years.

Responsibilities

• Teach safe, high-quality swim lessons to students.
• Provide positive feedback and support to learners.
• Adapt instruction to ages 4 months–13 years and skill levels.
• Participate in training and Lifeguard certification opportunities.

Instructor Requirements:
