Job summary

British Swim School of Bay Area is seeking a part-time staff member to teach swim lessons onsite at our pool. You will help shape children's lives through fun and safe swimming instruction and contribute to a mission-driven team.

Must be 18+ and a high school graduate or equivalent. We offer flexible scheduling, paid training (lifeguard cert included), and opportunities for advancement in a growing organization with a strong culture and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with children a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons following British Swim School curriculum and methods.
• Ensure the safety of all students during lessons.
• Create a positive, fun, and supportive learning environment.
• Build relationships with students and communicate with parents/guardians.
• Track student progress and encourage advancement through skill levels.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pool environment.
• Attend required training sessions and staff meetings.

Main responsibilities include:

• Teach swim lessons following the British Swim School curriculum and teaching methods.

Physical Requirements

• Remain in the pool for the majority or entirety of each shift.
• Lift and support young children in the water.
• Work in a warm, humid, indoor pool environment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and move throughout lessons.

Experience working with children and a love of swimming is a plus, but no experience is required!

LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED: Candidates located in or around Vallejo.
