Premier Aquatics Services LLC. in Aliso Viejo seeks a Swim Instructor for seasonal/part-time hours. No experience required; training provided. Earn $18.00-$21.00/hr, with available weekends and late afternoons.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.

• Willing to also work as a lifeguard as needed.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours.
• Ability to obtain StarGuard Elite Basic Life Support certification.
• Pass a Live Scan background check.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate swim lesson curriculum as provided by Premier Management Staff.
• Ensure safety of all participants in group and private lessons.
• Set up and break down of lesson stations.
• Communicate information promptly to supervisor.
• Enforce safety rules and communicate safety measures.
• Foster positive relationships with team and students.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of the aquatic facility.
• Attend quarterly in-service training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Facilitate swim lesson curriculum as provided by Premier Management Staff
• Responsible for the safety of all program participants in group lessons, private lessons, and patrons on deck
• Set up and break down of lesson stations
• Effectively communicate information promptly to the supervisor
• Ensures that all rules and appropriate safety measures are stated, communicated, and carried out by all swim instructors
• Foster positive and supportive relationships with the team and students
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness and order for the aquatic facility
• Attend quarterly in-service training programs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Be able to work a minimum of 1-3 days a week (3.1 to 5-hour shifts) and weekend availability
• Available: March- June 7: M-Th 3:50p- 7:10pm AND June 8-Mid-August: M-Th 2:50pm-7:20pm & Sat/Sun 8:45am-1:15pm
• Must be available through mid-August
• Willing to also work as a lifeguard as needed
• Candidate must be enthusiastic, outgoing, and have a willingness to learn
• Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 8 hours
• Ability to obtain and maintain a StarGuard Elite Basic Life Support certification
• Pass a Live Scan fingerprint background check

Preferred

• Have prior swim instructor/coaching experience
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification Lifeguard Certification
• Morning, weekday, and/or weekend availability
• Previous experience with children
• Previous experience with people with disabilities and/or special needs
