Job summary

Premier Aquatics Services LLC. in Paramount, CA is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to provide high-quality instruction to learners of all ages from March through October. You will teach water safety, stroke development, and aquatic skills while maintaining a safe, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Be able to work a minimum of 2-3 days a week (3.1 to 5-hour shifts).
• Willing to also work as a lifeguard as needed.
• Enthusiastic, outgoing, and willing to learn.
• Must lift 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours.
• Ability to obtain and maintain StarGuard Elite Basic Life Support certification.
• Pass a Live Scan fingerprint background check.
• Prior swim instructor/coaching experience (preferred).
• Morning, weekday, and/or weekend availability (preferred).
• Experience with children or people with disabilities and/or special needs (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate swim lesson curriculum as provided by Premier Management Staff
• Ensure safety of all program participants in group, private lessons, and on deck
• Set up and break down of lesson stations
• Communicate information promptly to the supervisor
• Ensure rules and safety measures are stated and followed by all instructors
• Foster positive and supportive relationships with the team and students
• Maintain cleanliness and order for the aquatic facility
• Attend quarterly in-service training programs
• Perform other duties as assigned
