Job summary

Premier Swim Academy - Diamond Bar is seeking a Swim Instructor who is passionate about swimming and eager to share expertise with others. You will provide high-quality instruction, focusing on water safety, stroke development, and aquatic skills in Diamond Bar.

This entry-level role requires enthusiasm and reliability; no experience needed. You will teach individuals or groups, foster safe, supportive learning, and collaborate with a friendly team to help students of all ages succeed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Be able to work a minimum of 1-3 days a week (3.1 to 5-hour shifts) and weekend availability.
• Willing to also work as a customer service representative as needed.
• Candidate must be enthusiastic, outgoing, and have a willingness to learn.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 8 hours.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a StarGuard ELITE Basic Life Support certification.
• Pass a Live Scan fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the swim lesson curriculum as provided by Premier Management Staff
• Responsible for the safety of all program participants in group lessons, private lessons, and patrons on deck
• Set up and break down lesson stations
• Effectively communicate information promptly to the supervisor
• Ensures that all rules and appropriate safety measures are stated, communicated, and carried out by all swim instructors
• Foster positive and supportive relationships with the team and students
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness and order for the aquatic facility
• Attend quarterly in-service training programs
• Perform other duties as assigned
