Job Summary:

We're seeking a Swim Instructor to join our team! As our new Swim Instructor, you will:

1. Teach various levels and age groups in accordance with the site's instructional guidelines.
2. Plan lessons, select appropriate drills, and evaluate students’ progress.
3. Present proper demonstrations, explain skills, analyze and correct performance, minimize fear, and use appropriate teaching devices.
4. Maintain a safe and positive teaching environment.
5. Attend all in-service trainings.
6. Maintain accurate records and prepare course completion certificates.
7. Perform all swimming strokes and skills taught in all levels.
8. Effectively communicate each student’s progress to the student or parents where appropriate.
9. Project and promote a professional image.
10. Explain and enforce facility regulations, policies, and procedures to patrons.
11. Perform other tasks as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain them at the time of hire.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or the ability to obtain it at the time of hire.
• Prior experience lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons preferred but not required.
• Ability to be in water for long periods during the day.

Please note: Must be at least 16 years of age.

Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation ranges from $15.00/hour to $20.00/hour, depending on factors such as site location, certifications, experience, and business needs.
