Must be age 16 and be able to pass a swim skills assessment.
The In Training wage for this position is $13.00 per hour. The full-time benefits package includes medical, dental, life, disability, and more, along with generous paid time off and free membership. Part-time benefits will vary.
This Swim Instructor (In Training) will shadow certified swim instructors while working to obtain the required YMCA Swim Instructor Skills Verification within up to 90 days of hire. The incumbent will provide excellent customer service in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member safety and satisfaction, following YMCA policies and procedures.
This position reports to the Aquatics Supervisor/Aquatics Director, who reports to the Senior Director of Aquatics/Senior Aquatics Manager. The incumbent interacts regularly with their supervisor, staff, volunteers, and participants.
